🏆 International Scar & Stretch Mark Expert

Kyial Altunel

The surgery went perfectly. But you still hide the mark every day.

A surgical scar gives itself away by colour even years later, right where everything was meant to look flawless. Paramedical dermopigmentation builds a shade tone-on-tone with your skin: the edge fades, and the area looks like healthy skin again, not like a trace of surgery.

Method

Structure first, then colour

A scar shows through its texture, not only its colour. So I work on the surface first, and only then on the tone. Sometimes one step is enough: what your skin needs is decided at the consultation.

01

Structure

Collagen therapy

Volume and texture always win over colour, so the work starts with the scar's structure. If the scar has a tissue deficit (sunken) or rises above the skin surface (raised), it needs to be levelled to the surrounding skin. Collagen therapy gently smooths the scar's texture — and only then can we move on to the aesthetic procedure, camouflage.

02

Colour

Camouflage

Camouflage is an aesthetic procedure in which the pigment is individually matched to your skin tone to make the scar as invisible as possible. Where needed, natural skin details are recreated — pores, light freckles, moles and the vascular pattern. As a result, the scar blends harmoniously into the surrounding skin and looks completely natural.

How it goes

From preparation to result

Each procedure follows its own protocol: preparation, the session itself, healing and aftercare. Select a procedure.

01

Preparation

The work starts with a consultation: send a photo of the scar in daylight — I'll assess the area and tell you whether correction is possible and what result is realistic. Camouflage is performed on a fully formed, mature scar — as a rule, one year after surgery. For 24 hours before the session, avoid alcohol and active tanning; tell me in advance about medication that affects blood clotting.

02

The procedure

The procedure is as comfortable as possible and almost painless. After assessing the skin and individually matching the shade, local anaesthesia is applied, followed by delicate work on the correction area. If the texture is uneven, collagen therapy comes first. The course is usually 2–3 sessions about two months apart.

03

Healing

Healing goes through a darkening of the pigment — a natural response of the skin and body. The colour gradually evens out, so the final assessment of the result is made after 2–2.5 months.

04

Aftercare

For the first 3 days, gently cleanse the area each morning with a cotton pad soaked in chlorhexidine. Showering is fine from the next day: cool water, no longer than 10 minutes. For 10 days, avoid sauna, hammam, banya, pool, hot baths and steaming the area. SPF 50 is essential, reapplied every 2 hours.

01

Preparation

The work starts with a photo consultation: I assess the stretch marks and tell you what result is possible. If the texture is even, we can proceed straight to camouflage; sunken atrophic stretch marks are first levelled with collagen therapy. For 24 hours before the session, avoid alcohol and active tanning; tell me in advance about medication that affects blood clotting.

02

The procedure

The procedure is comfortable, with local anaesthesia. Collagen therapy stimulates the skin's own collagen production and levels the texture of the stretch marks; where needed, camouflage is added — pigment matched tone-on-tone with the skin. The course is several sessions about two months apart.

03

Healing

Collagen therapy also goes through a stage of temporary darkening — it may seem the procedure went wrong, but it hasn't. As with an ordinary scratch healing, the skin darkens temporarily until the crust comes off and peeling ends. That's why the final assessment of the result is made after 1.5–2 months.

04

01

Preparation

For 24 hours before: no alcohol, active tanning or aggressive cosmetic treatments in the work area. For lips: start moisturising regularly a week ahead, and if you're prone to herpes, tell me in advance and discuss prevention with your doctor. On the day, the area should be clean and calm. Don't stop blood-thinning medication yourself — just let me know.

02

The procedure

First we agree the shape and shade, then I work with anaesthetic. Brows and lips take about an hour and a half each, the lash line about 30 minutes.

03

Healing

You can apply makeup to your face straight away, avoiding the treated area. The crusts come off on their own in 3–4 days — no cosmetics on the area until then. The final colour shows in about a month, after full healing. The effect lasts about 1.5–2 years: the pigment softly lightens over time without turning grey or orange.

04

Aftercare

For the first 3 days, gently cleanse the area with chlorhexidine morning and evening; don't rub the skin or touch the crusts. For 10 days — no pool, sauna, hammam, intense workouts or active sun. Keep the healing dry: no cream in warm weather, a thin layer of moisturiser once a day in cold or windy weather.

01

Preparation

The indication is persistent dark circles of genetic or pigmentary origin, not related to tiredness. At the consultation I'll assess the shade and tell you what brightening to expect. The skin around the eyes must be free of irritation, inflammation and damage; for 24 hours before, avoid alcohol and active tanning.

02

The procedure

I work with soft professional pigments made for aesthetic dermopigmentation: the aim is not a 'concealer effect' but a natural blend with your skin tone. The procedure works in the upper layers of the dermis and doesn't affect the eye or vision. It takes 1–1.5 hours.

03

Healing

Healing is light and almost unnoticeable: just mild flaking, with no darkening. The very next day you can return to your usual routine and makeup. The final result shows in 1.5–2 months. Fair skin tones often need just one procedure; darker phototypes — 2–3.

04

Aftercare

The key is sun protection: use a high-SPF product regularly. Once fully healed you can tan (the skin above the pigment tans naturally) and have most cosmetic treatments. The effect lasts about 1.5–2.5 years.

What clients say

Stories of those who have already been through this. Published with the clients' consent.

For three years I hid my C-section scar even at the beach. I hesitated about camouflage for a long time — it seemed it might only become more visible. After the second session the scar is barely distinguishable from the skin, and for the first time I stopped covering it.

AliyaC-section scar camouflage

The scars after my blepharoplasty stayed pink for a year and a half. Kyial was recommended by my surgeon. The eyelids evened out in tone after the very first session, and the touch-up secured the result.

ElmiraCamouflage after blepharoplasty

After giving birth, the stretch marks on my stomach felt permanent. At the consultation I was told exactly what result was possible and how many sessions it would take. After the course my skin looks even — not 'perfect', but truly natural.

FAQ

The essentials, briefly

Answers to the questions asked most often. If yours isn't here, message me: I'll review your case from a photo and tell you whether correction is possible.

Does it hurt?

The procedure is as comfortable as possible. Sensitivity is individual and depends on the area treated, but most clients notice only mild discomfort.

How is camouflage different from a tattoo?

Camouflage is often confused with a tattoo, but their aim is the opposite. A tattoo lays new, visible colour on top of the skin, while camouflage matches the pigment tone-on-tone with your skin so the scar becomes invisible. It doesn't remove the scar or its texture, it gently overlays the colour: I mix the shade individually for your skin and, where needed, recreate pores and a light vascular pattern. The method works best on mature, healed, lighter scars and stretch marks, including old ones after a C-section or tummy tuck.

How is collagen therapy different from laser?

They work on different principles. A laser uses heat and removes the top layer of tissue, after which the skin needs to heal. Collagen therapy gently prompts the skin to produce its own collagen and levels the scar's texture, without a burn or long recovery. Its job isn't to 'erase' the scar but to prepare an even surface so the camouflage can later sit naturally. What suits your scar, I'll tell you at the consultation.

How long does it last?

Camouflage lasts several years. Over time the pigment softly fades, which is natural, and a light touch-up can be done if you wish. The exact duration depends on the area, skin type and lifestyle (sun, aftercare), all of which we go over at the consultation.

How many sessions are needed?

Usually 2–3 sessions about two months apart. Camouflage is layered work: the first session sets the base, the next ones bring the colour to a precise match with your skin. Large or complex areas may need more — I'll give you the exact number after an examination.

Is it safe?

Yes. I use only sterile single-use modules and certified pigments, working to international hygiene standards. Behind me are 8 years of practice and over 16 international certificates. At the consultation I check contraindications: there are conditions (pregnancy, active skin flare-ups and others) where it's better to postpone.

It's my first time and I'm anxious. What if it gets worse?

The work starts with a consultation and a test: I tell you whether your case can be treated, and I won't take it on if the result wouldn't be worthy. Camouflage doesn't damage the skin and is matched individually to your tone; the decision always stays with you.
